Overview

The Network Engineer III position provides IT infrastructure engineering for Network and infrastructure upgrades, changes, troubleshooting, relocation and migrations. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with deep expertise in Aruba networking technologies, including routing, switching, wireless infrastructure, and network access control. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, optimization, and support of enterprise network environments leveraging Aruba solutions across campus, data center, and edge locations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade Aruba network infrastructure across routing, switching, and wireless domains
  • Configure and support ArubaOS-CX-based switching platforms and Aruba routing/gateway solutions
  • Implement and manage Aruba wireless environments using ArubaOS (AOS 8/10) and Aruba Central for cloud-based management
  • Lead network architecture initiatives, including high availability, segmentation, and performance optimization
  • Administer and optimize Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager for Network Access Control (NAC), including 802.1X authentication, role-based access, and device profiling
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues across Layer 2–Layer 7, including wireless RF optimization and client connectivity
  • Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management across all Aruba devices
  • Collaborate with security teams to enforce network access policies and segmentation strategies
  • Maintain documentation for network configurations, diagrams, and operational procedures
  • Provide escalation support and mentorship to junior engineers

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Must have extensive knowledge of high performance data center solutions, network infrastructure LAN/WAN, network security, and enterprise wireless infrastructures
  • Expert knowledge of Cisco Routers (ISR GEN1/2), Switches (including NEXUS and Catalyst Line), Security Appliance is a strong plus (ASA, ISE, IPS, Prime MARS, NAC).
  • Expert knowledge of WAN Circuits, MPLS, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, FR/ATM, ACLs, TCP/IP, IPX
  • Extensive experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting VLANs using CISCO equipment, to include intimate knowledge of Spanning Tree Protocol, VLAN Trunking Protocol, inter-VLAN routing, IPV6 and trunking with ISL and 802.1q
  • Strong knowledge of VPN IPSec/SSL solutions and hands-on deployment experience
  • Knowledge of Load Balancing for Web systems and e-commerce uses
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS, NXOS and other technical configurations
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting and management tools such as: Ethereal, Solarwinds, Orion Network Monitor, hp OpenView
  • Hands on experience with wired/wireless ISE deployments, ASA, Firepower, AMP, Prime Infrastructure, Security posture assessment, and Security Policy generation is a strong plus
  • Nexus experience: 9K, 7K, 5K, 2K, 1K
  • Cisco Experience (4507s-vss, 3750s, 2960s, MPLS, VPLS, PSTN, LAN
  • Strong customer facing skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Experience with F5 a plus
  • Cisco Certified Systems Engineer (CCIE) in any discipline
  • Strong experience with Aruba switching platforms running ArubaOS-CX
  • Proficiency with Aruba wireless solutions running ArubaOS (AOS 8.x / AOS 10)
  • Experience with Aruba Central for cloud-based network management and monitoring
  • Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VLANs, VRFs, and multicast
  • Deep understanding of wireless technologies (802.11ac/ax, RF design, roaming optimization)
  • Hands-on experience with Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager (NAC) including:
  • 802.1X authentication (EAP-TLS, PEAP)
  • Role-based access control (RBAC)
  • Guest access and onboarding
  • Device profiling and posture assessment

Routing / Edge Devices

  • Aruba EdgeConnect (SD-WAN, formerly Silver Peak)
  • Aruba Branch Gateways for integrated routing and SD-WAN capabilities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of enterprise networking experience
  • Aruba certifications preferred (ACMP, ACDP, ACMX)
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills
  • Experience working in large-scale, multi-site enterprise environments

Nice to Have Skills and Experience

  • Experience with SD-WAN (Aruba EdgeConnect)
  • Integration with security platforms (firewalls, SIEM)
  • Automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, REST APIs)
  • Familiarity with VMware NSX or cloud networking (AWS/Azure)
  • Cisco Certified Systems Engineer (CCIE)
  • 10+ years hands on experience in WAN/LAN technologies

Pay Range

$130,000 - $155,000

Base pay ranges are estimated. Actual base pay will be based on education, experience, location, certifications, skill set, and any other relevant factors. Incentive/variable pay opportunities are in addition to
base pay.
