Overview

Summary

OneC1 is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join its Cisco Unified Communications team. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with Cisco UC technologies while working alongside experienced engineers. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, passionate about technology, and looking to develop foundational skills in unified communications and collaboration solutions.

 

The Cisco UC Intern will assist with deployments, troubleshooting, documentation, and other tasks supporting both on-premise and cloud-based UC environments. This role is designed to provide exposure to real-world projects and customer environments while fostering technical growth.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of Cisco Unified Communications solutions, including Webex Calling, Unified Communications Manager, and related technologies.
  • Support engineers in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Participate in documentation efforts, including network diagrams and system configurations.
  • Learn and apply fundamental networking and collaboration concepts in a hands-on environment.
  • Develop positive working relationships with internal teams and external customers.
  • Manage assigned tasks to meet deadlines and project requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, VoIP, SIP).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Visio (preferred but not required).

 

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Gaining hands-on experience with Cisco UC technologies in real-world environments.
  • Working closely with experienced engineers to build technical skills and industry knowledge.
  • Supporting migrations, upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts for Cisco UC solutions.
  • Documenting configurations, project details, and technical solutions for future reference.
  • Learning best practices for deploying and managing UC systems.
